Thank you.
This has been a tough year, but because of the support of our community we were able to get through it and have a safe and successful Otakon this year.
Over 25,000 fellow otaku turned out this year. You were respectful of our mask mandates and understanding of the changes we needed to make to some of our programming and shortened hours.
Otakon was the first major event to take place in the convention center after reopening and our presence helped hotels, restaurants and local businesses rehire staff and get people back to work.
We're not through the woods yet and we don't fully know what 2022 will bring (giant Kaiju maybe?), but for now we wanted to thank those most loyal Otakon fans, the ones who pre-register early. So we're doing something we've never done before and lowering our early-bird pre-registration rate. There's also new discounts on our single-day memberships for those who register online.
We can't wait to see you again, July 29-31, 2022 for our fifth convention at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center and the 28th OTAKON!
